The University of Mobile is a Baptist university in Mobile County. It was founded by the Alabama Baptist convention as a learning institution with Baptist (Christian) values.

The University of Mobile is located in Pritchard, Alabama. The name causes people to expect the university to be located in the city of Mobile. However, the University takes its name from Mobile County.

The University of Mobile is a private, Baptist university. The school is divided into 6 divisions: the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Christian Studies, School of Education, School of Nursing and The Alabama School of the Arts.

University of Mobile also engineering partnerships with Auburn University and the University of South Alabama. After completing an engineering program, University of Mobile students receive engineering degrees from the other participating university.

There are 1,600 students from 34 states and 24 countries enrolled at the University of Mobile. The majority of the enrollees are Southern Baptists.
